Chapter 170 of Boys Over Flowers was published in Margaret No.24 on November 20, 1999. The chapter continues the "Couple Arc", which began in the previous chapter. It was followed by chapter 171 in December.[1]
Tsukushi Makino and Tsukasa Domyoji have become a couple, though the two of them are still awkward around another. Things go sour, and Tsukushi decides to express how she feels about Tsukasa.

- Tsukushi confuses "New York" (Nyuu Youku) with "to take a bath" (Nyuu Yoku). Her father also makes the same mistake later on in the chapter.[2]
