"Bye bye, stupid guy" (
Tsukushi Makino plans to meet with Tsukasa Domyoji, but sees him and Shigeru Okawahara kissing. Later, Tsukasa is unable to clear up the misunderstanding with Tsukushi. She encourages him to date Shigeru, which he does.
Tsukushi Makino wordlessly leaves, after seeing Tsukasa Domyoji and Shigeru Okawahara kiss. Seconds later, Tsukasa pushes Shigeru away and orders her to leave. Tsukushi goes to work, while Tsukasa waits for her and Shigeru watches him. Rui Hanazawa suddenly shows up, so Tsukushi decides to take the day off anyway. He asks Tsukushi about her meeting with Tsukasa and if something happened. Tsukushi does not reveal anything. Tsukasa waits late into the night, and only leaves when Nishida comes to fetch him. That night, Shigeru visits Tsukushi. Shigeru spends most of the time complaining about Tsukasa's behavior and ends up staying the night.
The next morning, Tsukushi tells the F4 about the previous day. Tsukasa arrives and confronts Tsukushi about not showing up. She is still angry and calls him a "moron" for waiting, before storming off. Tsukasa reveals to his friends that he invited Shigeru to show her "she was nothing compared to [Tsukushi]." Tsukushi yells out her frustrations at the emergency exit, where she runs into Rui. She unintentionally reveals that she is mad at Tsukasa for kissing Shigeru. Tsukushi changes the subject and asks Rui to go to the library wither her. She tells him about being inspired by Shizuka Todo to aim for law school.
At the same time, Tsukasa sees a beggar on the street, which triggers memories of his friend. Shigeru steps in front of Tsukasa's car, causing it to stop suddenly. She lets herself in the car, but Tsukasa quickly exits. Shigeru tells him that it is "destiny" for them to be together. He refutes her by telling her about the real reasons for their engagement. Tsukasa adds that he already has a "destiny with someone else." Shigeru visits Tsukushi and Yuki Matsuoka to talk about Tsukasa. Sachiyo Sengoku advises her to "pry [her] destiny open." Yuki confesses that Sojiro Nishikado ignores her calls. Sachiyo phones Akira Mimasaka and secures Yuki an invite to his house.
Tsukushi and Yuki go to Akira's house the next day. They are taken aback by the decor and Akira's mother, who they mistakenly think is his older sister. Sojiro arrives shortly, but leaves when he sees Yuki there. Yuki follows him and passes by Tsukasa on the way out. Akira leaves Tsukushi and Tsukasa to talk alone. She encourages Tsukasa to pursue a relationship with Shigeru. Tsukasa attempts to interject several times. He is unable to find the words and Tsukushi leaves, after saying "bye, bye". That night, Tsukushi's father tells his family about his work troubles, which will effect the family financially. Tsukushi begins looking for a second part-time gig.
At work, Tsukushi talks to Yuki, who tells her about her awkward conversation with Sojiro. Yuki now wishes to learn more about tea ceremony to get closer to Sojiro and has joined a class about it. Meanwhile, Tsukasa's mother reports that the only way for Domyoji Group to "recover" is for him to marry Shigeru. Tsukasa resigns himself and asks Shigeru to date him. She later visits Tsukushi to tell her about it. Tsukushi congratulates her. She begins working extra hard at school and her two jobs. One night, Tsukasa and his mother attend a dinner with Shigeru and her parents. Partway through, Nishida informs Tsukasa about Tsukushi collapsing at her job. Tsukasa rushes out to go see her.

- This episode roughly covers parts of the "Tsukasa's Fiancée, Shigeru Arc", particularly chapters one hundred and six to one hundred and eight.
- In "Shall I Talk About Myself? Part 2" (published 2008), Tsukushi similarly has an accident at work and is taken to the hospital. Rui arrives first, and Tsukasa rushes from overseas to see her.
- Tsukasa mixes up kanji again, when he explains to Shigeru that you get the "aka" (
明"clear, bright") from "akashi" and the "shiro" ( 白"white") from "shiroi" to get "akashiro", which he thinks means "obvious". Actually, the two kanji together mean "meihaku" ( 明白"clearly").
- One of the foreigners comments that Tsukasa's hair reminds him of the singer, Lionel Richie.
- Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable" can be heard at the cafe Rui and Tsukushi visit.
