Kurara Kotomi (琴美くらら (ことみ くらら) Kotomi Kurara, born June 3 in Niiza, Japan) is an actress with the Takarazuka Revue. She portrayed Sonoko Maekawa and Hiroko in the musical, Hana Yori Dango (2019).

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kotomi was born on June 3 in the city of Niiza located in Saitama Prefecture.[1]

Career[]

She graduated in the 103rd class of the Takarazuka Music School in 2017. Her class, including Raito Kinami, debuted together in Dramatic "S"![2] After being placed in the Flower Troupe (花組 () ), Kotomi appeared in the productions, The Poe Clan,[3] Messiah,[4] and Melancholic Gigolo (all 2018).[5] She later had a minor role in the newcomer version (新人公演 () shinjin kouen) of Casanova in early 2019.[6] Kotomi played two roles in Hana Yori Dango, namely Sonoko Maekawa and Hiroko.[7] The same year, she appeared in A Fairy Tale playing several small roles.[8] In 2020, Kotomi was in Dance Olympia which celebrated Rei Yuzuka's first role as the new top star.[9]

  • In Hana Yori Dango (2019), Kotomi played a variety of background roles. For instance, she appeared as a student, party guest, and park customer. She also danced in the songs, "Metamorphoses" and "Honest Man."
