Li was born on December 25, 1973 in Taipei, Taiwan. At the age of ten, he lived in the United States with his mother. During his time in the US, Li became fluent in English. He also studied psychology in college.[1]

In 2001, Li guest starred in two episodes of Meteor Garden as Xiao You's boyfriend, Zhong Ze. He also appeared in KO One (2005) and The X-Family (2007). In 2008, he hosted a television program aimed at teaching English to its viewers.
Personal life[]
Li married journalist Zhang Xu Lan (张旭岚), also known as Charlene Chang, on December 21, 2008. At the time, they sparked a controversy for appearing nude in their wedding photos. The couple have three sons together.
